14 MAY 2020, GELANG PATAH – The Johor Port Authority (JPA) in collaboration with the Port of Tanjung Pelepas (PTP) has partnered with the Gelang Patah community to carry out corporate social responsibility (CSR) to distribute Hari Raya assistance to the less unfortunate.
The programme aims to reduce the burden of the villagers who belong to families who have lost their source of income during the Hari Raya Aidilfitri celebrations recently under the Conditional Movement Control Order (CMCO).
A total of 170 families from 6 villages namely Kampung Pok, Kampung Paya Mengkuang, Kampung Ladang / Tanjung Kupang / Pendas, Kampung Tanjung Adang, Kampung Pekajang and Kampung Tiram Duku / Kampung Baru Muafakat have received assistance in this programme. Each family receives assistance in the form of raw materials such as rice, sugar, cooking oil, wheat flour and other food items. The utmost concern of JPA and PTP is that the Gelang Patah community can alleviate the burden on families whose income are affected.
