Shanghai, 20 March 2019 – Johor Port Authority (JPA) has participated in Breakbulk Asia 2019 international exhibition which was held on 20 & 21 March  2019 at Shanghai World Expo Exhibition & Convention Centre (SWEECC) in Shanghai, China.  The event was organised by Global Events Partners and Breakbulk Asia.

Johor Port Berhad (JPB) also participated in the exhibition with the objectives to promote and market Pasir Gudang Port under the “Malaysia’s Southern Gateway” platform.  JPA’s exhibition booth received a steady stream of visitors from various shipping and freight forwarding companies, especially from China.

More than 5000 delegates from various countries have visited the exhibition. Among the delegates are from the United States, Singapore, South Korea, Germany, the Netherlands, Hong Kong, Egypt and Pakistan.  The event, which was organised by Global Events has attracted a total of 121 exhibitors from international agencies and organisations which comprised of cargo transporters, sea and air freighters, seaports, terminals and etc.

The Breakbulk Asia 2019 opening ceremony was held on 20 March 2019 which was officiated by Mr Wei Zhuang, the Regional Manager, BIMCO Asia.  The Breakbulk Asia 2019 Conference closing ceremony was officiated by Mr Jeremy Wang, Chief Editor of Beyond Shipping.
