30 NOVEMBER 2017, PASIR GUDANG: - Johor Port Authority (JPA) has organised a library programme which was tailored for the staffs’ children in conjunction with the year end school holiday. The programme was opened to children aged 6 to 12 years old and was held at the Library in JPA Headquarters, Pasir Gudang. It was aimed to invigorate the Library and also to nurture the awareness on the importance of reading.

This year's programme are 'Word Boggle' and 'Word Search' competition which was aimed to sharpen the children’s minds to build words or sentences according to their respective capabilities and knowledge. The programme was conducted in 2 versions, namely Malay and English language. Over 52 children have participated in the competition.

Prizes in the form of stationery hampers and book vouchers as well as consolation prizes were given to competition winners. It turns out that the programme was well received and created the spirit of competitiveness amongst children. The prize giving ceremony was officiated by Encik Kamaruzaman Bin Hj. Munasir, Assistant General Manager, Regulatory & Operations.
