Concerned with the plight of the less fortunate especially those living in rural areas, Johor Port Authority (JPA) under its corporate social responsibility (CSR) initiative has organized a programme titled Ukhuwah Ramadhan 2017” or Brotherhood of Ramadan 2017. The programme was to help the less unfortunate to prepare for 1st of Syawal celebration.

A total of 39 students, which includes primary and secondary schools in the Pasir Gudang area between the age of 7 to 16 years old received Hari Raya shopping spree of Baju Melayu / Kurung, shoes, skull caps and headscarves. The goal of this programme is to help ease the burden of underprivileged parents by providing them with new clothing for Hari Raya Aidilfitri with the hope that they experience the joy and happiness like other fellow Muslims. Apart from that, this programme also inspired and motivated lives and foster togetherness amongst human beings.
