9 APRIL 2020, JOHOR BAHRU :-  Johor Port Authority (JPA) in cooperation with Port of Tanjung Pelepas (PTP) has undertaken corporate social responsibility (CSR) together with the Gelang Patah community to assist families affected by the 'COVID 19' pandemic since the implementation of the Movement Control Order (MCO) on 18 March 2020.

The programme involved 150 families from 5 villages namely Kampung Pok, Desa Paya Mengkuang, Kampung Pekajang, Kampung Tg. Adang, Kampung Tiram Duku / Kampung Baru Muafakat and Kampung Ladang / Tg.Kupang / Pendas located near PTP.

Through this programme, each family receives assistance in the form of raw materials/essentials such as rice, sugar, cooking oil, wheat flour and other food items. The supply is delivered directly to the Penghulu's house and some nearby locations to facilitate the distribution process to those involved.

The utmost concern of JPA and PTP is that the Gelang Patah community can alleviate the burden on families whose income are affected. Besides, this initiative is to support the government's effort to ensure all citizen stay at home to break the pandemic chain for the sake of our safety.
