23 APRIL 2020, PASIR GUDANG :-  Johor Port Authority (JPA) has undertaken corporate social responsibility (CSR) to provide relief to the families affected by the 'COVID 19' pandemic since the implementation of the Movement Control Order (MCO) on 18 March 2020.

The programme involved some 70 families identified from Kampung Kopok Baru, Kampung Sentosa, Kampung Cahaya Baru, Taman Desa Rakyat Perdana dan Taman Cendana, all located in Pasir Gudang, Johor.

Through this programme, each family receives assistance in the form of raw materials/essentials such as rice, sugar, cooking oil, wheat flour and other food items. The supply is delivered directly to the Village Head's house and through neighbourhood welfare committee to facilitate the distribution process to those involved.

JPA utmost concern is that the Pasir Gudang community can alleviate the burden on families whose income are affected. Besides, it can assist the less fortunate in preparation to celebrate Ramadan while supporting the government's effort to ensure all citizen stay at home to break the Covid-19 pandemic chain for the sake of everyone safety.
