PASIR GUDANG, 29 DECEMBER 2017 - Johor Port Authority (JPA) today signed a Memorandum of Understanding with PT Pelabuhan Indonesia 1 (PELINDO 1). The agreement was signed as a result of a courtesy call made by the Board of Directors, JPA to Medan, Indonesia between 5 to 9 November 2017. A total of 3 delegates from PELINDO 1 attended the event namely Mr. Bambang Eka Cahyana, President Director of PT Pelabuhan Indonesia 1, Mr. Sandhy Wijaya and Mr. Rizki Affandi Nasution. The event was also attended by Yang Berhormat Dato' Abdul Rahim bin Ramli, Chairman of JPA & JPATP, Board of Directors, and officers from JPA, Johor Port Berhad (JPB) and Port Tanjung Pelepas (PTP). The agreement was signed between En. Muhammad Razif bin Ahmad, General Manager of JPA on behalf of JPA and Mr. Bambang Eka Cahyana, President Director of PT Pelabuhan Indonesia 1 on behalf of PELINDO 1. The event was successfully conducted and witnessed by Yang Berhormat Dato 'Abdul Rahim bin Ramli, Chairman of JPA and JPATP.
The purpose of the agreement is to establish a cooperative relationship between JPA and PELINDO 1, especially in areas related to port studies, training, information exchange, technical assistance and traffic development and promotion of services that JPB, PTP and PELINDO 1 has to offer.
With the signing of the agreement, both sides wish that the outcome will meet the common interest in contributing to the enhancement of the continuing co-operation and understanding between ports in both countries.
