JOHOR BAHRU, 16 OCTOBER 2019 – Johor Port Authority (JPA) has successfully organized Port Week Conference 2019 an international conference held on 14 and 15 October 2019 at the DoubleTree Hilton Hotel, Johor Bahru in conjunction with Port Week this year. The conference is the 6th Port Week Conference organized by JPA.

The theme for this year's conference is Fostering The Wave of Digitalization which was aimed at strengthening the digital means in port and maritime related industries.

The conference attracted more than 200 local and overseas participants from various departments and agencies, particularly those involved in key sectors such as ports, freight, shipping and port users. During the conference, 23 guest speakers from both local and overseas shared their experiences and insights on the theme.

YB Tuan Loke Siew Fook, Minister of Transport Malaysia has officiated the Port Week Conference opening ceremony on 14 October 2019.

The Port Week 2019 participants were ushered for a technical visit to the Port of Tanjung Pelepas (PTP) on 16 October 2019 and a briefing was delivered by PTP officials.
